I watched the Oprah TV special“Christmas Kindness,” that aired several years ago, where Oprah and her team brought Christmas gifts, medical aid, food and hope to the children. It showed how many children were orphans, had nothing and nobody, fighting, aids, hunger etc. and were alone. The program was Very Powerful! I was so very touched and heartbroken for those children. It made me reflect and realize how very grateful for my life I am. I wanted to really help those poor orphaned children in some way, so I immediately wrote the lyrics to “HEARTPRINT” which was mentioned in the program and shared it with my Songwriting Partner/Producer/Artist DAVID COCHRANE. David knew how to create a gorgeous melody, instrumentation & amazing vocals. We found the perfect person that we felt would give the song the Warmth, Heart and Beautiful vocals that it deserved, ASHLEY STAR (CD out in 2008)
